Recognised and one of the global leaders in innovative timber architecture Hermann Kaufmann +Partner GmbH is central to the Vorarlberg architecture movement. Driven by a deep rooted understanding of timber, design and sustainability the practice is home to a team of exacting experts.
The Challenges:
With a complex and powerful philosophy underpinning all the work done by the team at HK+P it was important to be able to clearly and effectively communicate this philosophy to peers, clients and in fact anyone who wants to learn more about timber and its role in sustainable architecture for today and the future. The philosophy currently in in long form prose and needed to be translated, condense and then brought to life digitally. What was needed was an understanding of the parameters of this project.
The work:
A day long workshop with the team from HK+P and the web design specialist exploring the needs and wants of the users, the visual content of the philosophy and marrying the two together to form a digital format that was usable, understandable and enjoyable.
The Results:
Currently in its final stages a fully digital philosophy is due to launch in 2021.
