Her relationship with leaders in lighting is both professional and trusting, which means that people are confident to be interviewed by her for our publication.”

Matt Waring, Editor in Chief

Since its inception in 1999, arc has become the leading international magazine in architectural lighting design. Targeted specifically at the lighting specification market, arc offers insightful editorial on architectural, retail and commercial lighting. As a publication arc knows its readers have exacting standards of excellence and that’s why arc features the best photography, the best writers, high quality paper and a large format that shows off its projects in the best possible light. arc is highly respected for its independence and well-read within the lighting design profession.

The Challenges:
Maintaining a standard for the readership is difficult when the demand for new and exciting content is a force that pushes journalists to face hard and demanding deadlines. Finding a balance between quality and quantity is key and arc called on me for support.

The work:
With more than 4 years’ experience working with the lighting industry and over 10 years’ experience working in product design and architecture I was well placed to deliver in-depth and insightful interviews with leading figures and bodies in the lighting world. Alongside this I investigated and delivered independent articles on the hot topics of the industry. This editorial work continues today.

The Results:
Content forms have had to adapt and move with recent global events and as arc shifts into a new post-Covid future so too does their events format and publication. Editorial continues to ask the big questions in lighting design and my investigative editorial continues to find answers for their readers.
